st. vincent de Paul
The St. Joseph chapter of the Vincent de Paul Society provides emergency assistance to help our neighbors whose lives have taken an unforeseen turn for the worse and are in need of food and clothing, housing or help paying bills. To obtain assistance, call
248.693.0440 ext. 223 and leave a voicemail message. A conference representative will retrieve your message, usually within 1-2 hours, and contact you regarding your request for assistance.
aa meetings
The AA meetings held at St. Joe's are on Friday evenings from 7:30-8:30pm and
ALL are welcome! The meetings are normally held in Meeting Room 2 (in the hallway between the church and the school) unless otherwise noted. The meetings are a traditional 12-step program focusing on one step each week (though you can drop in any time). There is normally a 15 minute reading, 15 minutes of guided discussion and then 30 minutes of open discussion. No one is forced to share and the meeting is open to men, women, alcoholics and non-alcoholics. If you have any questions, call the parish office at 248-693-0440 during

Oxford/Orion FISH Oxford/Orion FISH provides emergency aid in the form of food and agency referrals to individuals in Oxford, Lake Orion, Addison and Oakland Township. People who have a need for groceries can call their office at 248.628.3933. Leave a message if the daily volunteers are not in the office and they will call you back, address your concern, identify the need, and work toward a solution.
Love, INC. Love in the Name of Christ is a local non-profit agency that offers a "Gap Ministry" that provides resources or services to meet ongoing needs that are not currently being met by other agencies or organizations. They partner with local churches in the operation of Community Meals, a Clothes Closet, Little Luxuries (personal care items), Bed Blessings & Beyond (household items) and a Laundry Ministry.
